& Availability
Can
I order unavailable products?
Yes
there is no problem with ordering unavailable items, but please
realize that we do not always know or have an ETA and there may
be a long wait before receiving the goods. It would pay to email us first just to be sure.
Can you get product X?
If
product X exists in New Zealand we can more than likely get it
from one of our many New Zealand suppliers. If we do not list
the item on our website please provide us with as much information
so we can seek it out.
What are OEM products?
OEM
stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer and means that the
product is in its basic form. Usually no drivers, software or
manuals are supplied.
Retail
means the item is presented in some type of retail boxing normally
accompanied by as many bells and whistles that the manufacturer
can get in the box.
Should I buy the retail or OEM version of a product?
Since
OEM products are cheaper, they are a good choice if you are familiar
with installing your own hardware and do not need the extra software
and other accessories.
Are
there conditions on purchasing OEM products?
Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office OEM products are only available
if purchased with a computer system or non-peripheral hardware,
such as a CPU, motherboard, memory, or hard drive.
I
recently purchased some non-peripheral hardware. Am I eligible
to purchase OEM versions of Microsoft Windows?
No,
Microsoft requires the software to be purchased at the same time
as the hardware, and to be on the same invoice.
